Happy New Year!
I hope the New Year finds you in good health and that 2014 proves to be a successful one for you and your business.
For Eaglei, the year so far has been a case of continuing where the last one ended. Whilst continuing to promote the business – a never-ending process that is always a challenge for any sole trader – I have been keen to secure some orders for business, by attempting to convert the overwhelmingly positive initial messages of encouragement and support into pledges of commitment to utilise the services provided by Eaglei – www.eaglei.uk.com. To date, I am pleased to say that things are looking positive!
Eaglei has also been asked by the team at Innovate York – http://scy.co.uk/innovation – to deliver a series of Workforce Development Sessions within the City of York Council. These will take the form of a series of five interactive training workshops covering a wide range of topics. The primary aim is to develop the concept of intrapreneurship: assisting individuals from across the Council to work in a more entrepreneurial and creative way within a large, public sector organisation. I cannot wait to facilitate these sessions but firstly, have the preparation to do over the next few weeks.
Eaglei is also busy finalising a workshop on how to control exam nerves. Aimed at secondary students upwards, this interactive workshop – to be piloted at a school in Sheffield – aims to give students some practical techniques to help control exam nerves. They will learn how they can turn their nerves into adrenalin and positive thoughts, while at the same time giving them the confidence and belief that they can do it!
Meantime, still no sign of snow…we can but hope!
